HaltAlerts

How the Affiliate Program Works

The plain-English version β€” what you earn, when you get paid, and the one rule that trips people up.

πŸ“Œ Website only, through Stripe

Your code and link only track when someone subscribes on haltalerts.org and checks out with Stripe. If they download the app instead and subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, it can't be tracked and you won't earn commission β€” always send people to the website first. This only applies to the discount and the initial purchase, though: once someone has subscribed through the website, they can use HaltAlerts on any device β€” iOS, Android, Windows, or web β€” the same subscription just works everywhere.

1. You pick a split

Every deal works off a shared pool between you and your referral. You choose how much of that pool becomes their discount β€” the rest is your commission.

Example, at the 50% pool:
Pick 20% off for them β†’ you keep 30% commission. Pick less discount, keep more commission β€” your choice.

2. Every referral has two phases

The discount only applies for a fixed window. After that, your referral pays full price β€” and you earn the full pool percentage, not just your discounted-window rate.

3. Getting paid

  • β€’ Each commission sits in a 45-day hold after the referral's payment clears β€” this covers refunds and chargebacks, not a delay tactic.
  • β€’ Once cleared, it's ready to be paid out through Stripe Connect, direct to your bank account.
  • β€’ You need to be eligible to hold a Stripe account in your country β€” most countries qualify.

4. A few rules

  • β€’ The discount is for new customers only β€” someone who already had a HaltAlerts subscription doesn't get another discounted period, even with your code.
  • β€’ You can't refer yourself or an account you control.
  • β€’ Whoever's code brought someone in keeps the credit β€” even if a different code gets used later.
